Reviewed by lizzyAbsolutely, loved this novel. I loved the story in the tropical paradise Brasil. I literally felt the warm summer breeze on my skin & the sand between my toes. I also loved the story of Bel in Paris, especially when she fell in love for the first time. It's just too bad that there are so less informations about some male characters. Especially about Laurent Brouilly, he's very attractive, gentle & caring. But I would wish there were more informations about his past. Generally about his life!! Above all Lucinda did a great job especially with the female characters, the description of the places and the various times. She has used a few words in Portuguese – that was a thing which I found very interesting. I love the romance languages and that’s why I’ve loved to read some words like ‘querida, carioca, ..’ All in all I’ve got lost in the whole story and I can’t wait for the next book.
