It explores regret, purpose, and the meaning of life in a way that feels both intimate and thought-provoking. Watching Nora step into different versions of her life is fascinating, even if it gets a little repetitive at times. But somehow, the emotions still land. It’s one of those stories that quietly lingers, making you reflect on your own “what ifs” long after you’ve turned the last page ✨
Reviewed by Elias DolecekHonestly I am at a loss for words because this book was so very utterly beautiful. It made me ugly cry and no book has managed to do that in quite a while. It’s deeply philosophical and thought provoking and heavy and not at all easy to digest but it changed my outlook on life and all it entails. It’s a celebration of all the small things and all the big things and all the things you don’t think are important and if you have any history with depression at all you simply NEED to read this. I know my tomorrow will be better because I have read this book. Matt Haig will do that to you, I have come to realize. But who knows, maybe I’m being dramatic because it touches so close to home. Still: if I could, I’d give The Midnight Library six out of five stars.

Reviewed by Maya SoRaAm Anfang etwas zäh. Ich konnte mich nicht mit der Protagonistin identifizieren (Selbstmord) aber die Message am Ende war gut. Etwas zu sehr vorhersehbar.
