Reviewed by hobiFirst of all, five stars is not nearly enough for how this book made me feel! If I could I'd give it a hundred stars, I have never enjoyed a book as much as I enjoyed Prince's Gambit, it was so beautifully written and the story just was so amazing. Again I had to grab the next book instantly cause I just couldn't stop and had to know what happens next! The Dynamic between Laurent and Damen is incredible and I genuinely liked it more than most romance novels I've read even though they weren't even Lovers for the majority of the book. I can proudly say Prince's Gambit is my all time favorite book now and it's gonna be very hard to top it. It made me remember all the enemies to lovers books I've read and I realised only now how real enemies to lovers is done. This book has my heart and I'm scared for the end of the series because I don't want to leave it behind 😔
Reviewed by LovedDas ist meine erste Rezension auf dieser Plattform... Aber sie muss für dieses Buch sein. Selten habe ich ein Buch so oft gelesen. Schon im ersten Teil konnte ich nicht genug kriegen von Damen und Laurent, doch im zweiten Teil entwickelt sich ihre Geschichte so unfassbar gut weiter, es fehlt mich hier der Platz, um alles zu beschreiben. Ich liebe die vielen Szenen zwischen den beiden im Zelt, wenn sie nachts Taktiken entwickeln, wenn sie verkleidet in der Stadt unterwegs sind und sich auf dem Balkon verstecken müssen, wenn sie den Clan der nomadischen Frauen besuchen und Laurent Damen für sich haben will und wenn sie es "einfach haben wollen". Diese Liebesgeschichte setzt Maßstäbe, die nur gebrochen werden können. Selten lassen Autor*innen die Zeit, dass sich so tiefe Gefühle, die gleichzeitig so unbändig sind, dass die Protagonisten selbst davor erschrecken, entwickeln. Ich bin einfach nur unendlich begeistert und freue mich schon darauf, es mal wieder zu lesen!
