Reviewed by Raphaela Interessante Story, die sich um die historischen Geschehnisse rund um die Donner Party entwickeln. Durchaus spannend, auch wenn an recht schnell eine deutliche Ahnung hat, wer der Antagonist in der Story ist. Es dauert auch relativ lang, bis man aufgeklärt wird, worin das Geheimnis dieses Mal eigentlich besteht. Man merkt schon recht deutlich, dass die Story in erster Linie konstruiert wurde, um für zwei Figuren aus dem Pendergast Universum den Startschuss für eine eigene gemeinsame Serie zu basteln. Aber das verzeiht man gern, weil Nora und Corrie eine vielversprechende Kombi ist, die es verdient hat, aus Pendergasts Schatten zu treten und ihr eigenes Ding zu machen. Hinzukommt, dass die Geschicht kurzweilig und flüßig zu lesen ist und Constance kommt nicht vor (ja, das ist ein Plus Punkt in LC Büchern)
