Reviewed by Alena BrandEs fällt mir schwer zu sagen, ob mir das Buch gefällt. Es ist auf eine gewisse Art faszinierend und gleichzeitig an vielen Stellen schmerzhaft. Beispielsweise wie die Protagonistin das erste Drittel Ihres Lebens lebt. Sie beschreibt eine Person, für die ich nicht all zu viel Sympathie aufbringen konnte und auch andere Charaktere im Buch scheinen alles andere als besonders sympathisch zu sein, wenngleich durchaus interessant und teils durch die Autorin sehr lebhaft beschrieben. Erst in etwa der dritten Hälfte des Buches wird eine innere wichtige Entwicklung der Protagonistin beschrieben und vieles aus ihrem frühen Leben wird verstehbarer. Schmerzhaft bleibt es dennoch irgendwie, dafür aber vielleicht auch ein Buch, das man nicht so schnell vergisst und das auch zum Nachdenken anregt.

Weil mir im Urlaub dann aber die Bücher ausgingen, habe ich doch weitergelesen und auch einige schöne Zitate darin finden können, richtig gefesselt hat es mich dennoch nicht
