Reviewed by Raphaela Prinzipiell ist Brimstone ein durchaus spannendes Buch. Mal wieder ruft eine geheimnisvolle Mordreihe Pendergast auf den Plan und die Ermittlungen führen ihn und D'Agosta diesmal bis nach Italien. Allerdings hat der Roman zwei große Schwachstellen. Das erste Auftreten von Viola Maskalene und damit der erste klägliche Versuch, einen romantischen Subplot einzufügen und die Tatsache, dass er der Auftakt zur Diogenes Triologie ist, die leider nicht mit der Qualität der bisherigen Pendergast Reihe mithalten kann.
