It's always regarded as a positive characteristic, because a lot of people would say that many of the best things people do for each other occur precisely because of loyalty. The only problem is that many of the very worst things we do to each other occur because of the same thing." Dieses Buch hat mich so beeindruckt und gleichzeitig so zerstört. “Björnstadt” erzählt die Geschichte einer kleinen schwedischen Stadt mitten im Wald, fernab von allem, was modern ist. Das Leben dort ist nicht gerade einfach und besonders deshalb halten die Bewohner so eng zusammen. Ihre Leidenschaft und gleichzeitig der Hoffnungsstrohhalm an den sich alle klammern, ist der Björnstädter Eishockeyclub. In der aktuellen Saison könnte ihnen der Durchbruch gelingen und dann würden viel mehr Möglichkeiten für den kleinen Ort entstehen, weil sie viel sichtbarer werden. Doch in einer eiskalten Nacht geschieht etwas Furchtbares, was den ganzen Ort spaltet und das Gleichgewicht ins Wanken bringt.. Einmal vorab: Bitte Triggerwarnungen für dieses Buch checken. Hier sind viele sensible Themen enthalten. Dieses Buch ist mein neues Lebenshighlight. Man lernt so unglaublich viele Charaktere kennen und hat das Gefühl, dass man nach und nach den gesamten Ort kennt. Alle haben ihr eigenes Päckchen zu tragen, ob Vater, Mutter, Tochter, Sohn, beste Freundin, Klassenkamerad - ALLE. Und das faszinierende ist, man kann alle verstehen und steckt im Kopf von jedem einzelnen. Selbst die die schlimme Dinge tun und schlechte Entscheidungen treffen, kann man irgendwo verstehen. Ich finde es unglaublich beeindruckend, wie der Autor (mit seinen damals 34 Jahren) Charaktere jeder Altersklasse, jeden Geschlechts und jeder Sexualität mit ihren Problemen SO authentisch beschreiben kann.. es macht mich sprachlos.
