They seem like the perfect married couple, until Tom gets arrested for a suspected murder. Suddenly, Beth and the whole town aren’t so sure what to believe… ੈ✩‧₊˚<i>opinion</i> It was good. The point is, for a thriller to be really great, I need to be 100% invested. And this was simply not the case here. Don’t get me wrong: I was invested and I wanted to know what happened, but wasn’t enough for a 4+ star read. Still - I enjoyed the Serial Killer’s Wife. It was not at all bad. I would recommend it. This book is definitely a quick read and I loved the general synopsis however I’m not sure it delivered. It was mostly predictable and the big twist the reader could see coming a mile away. I didn’t feel connected to any of the characters and some of the story became repetitive and didn’t help the overall story move forward, almost felt like filler here and there, yet some parts felt rushed or just would skip forward randomly in middle of a scene. The book as a whole was well written and I’d definitely try another from this same author.
