Rezension von Eva SpringethIf you're into K-Dramas and are curious about the behind the scenes, then congrats. This is your book. However, I'm not which is probably why I wasn't totally hooked by the storyline. (In defense of the book I have to admit that I had forgotten the blurb and hence went into the book with different expectations). Besides that, I would have enjoyed a bit more "complex" characters and plot arround the love story. Likewise, I'm questioning if a love story between to 18 years old who are declaring their love to each other is going to stand the test of time? Although they are childhood besties so maybe it will? Not sure though. My last criticism is the title. Why Seoulmates? It sounds cool, I get it and I guess Seoul played it's part as the center of the k-drama industry but besides that? It didn't feel as meaningful for the love story to me. On the flip side, it indeed was a cute romance book with good writing that made it super pleasant and easy to read. Likewise, it showed how the reality of k-drama actors might look like, and how ugly and restrictive it can be.

In between the book really had some fun moments, but I got so pissed off by the end, that I have to give it 1 star. Like wth Hannah is so utterly selfish and self conscious and Jacob has just himbo vibes, which would be fine, if I wouldn't have to read his POV. You should know I am a big himbo supporter in Romance, but I don't want to go through his stupid thoughts :D Not for me.
