Rezension von DeadInsideBookQueenPsychological thrill romance with horror and paranormal elements! Highlight! Einfach wegen des Spaßes, den mir das Lesen dieses Buches bereitet hat. Schon der erste Satz hat meine Neugier geweckt – und ab da konnte ich nicht mehr aufhören zu lesen. Ich liebte die Stimmung, die die Autorin erschaffen hat: die Geschichte und das Spiel mit der Psyche des Lesers. Ich hatte viele Theorien, was dahinterstecken und die unheimlichen Ereignisse erklären könnte. Aber der Plot hat geplottet – und ich wurde am Ende trotzdem überrascht. Ein großes Lob für die Spannung, die bei mir tatsächlich das ganze Buch über angehalten hat. Ich musste einfach Hinweise sammeln und wissen, wie es weitergeht. Ich muss aber sagen, dass das Buch meiner Meinung nach keine Dark Romance oder Gothic Romance ist, auch wenn damit geworben wird. Was du aber erwarten kannst: morally grey Charaktere, viele Geheimnisse, Rätsel, eine unheimliche Atmosphäre, eine abgeschiedene Insel, Paranormales, Horrorelemente, BDSM Spice und einen unerwarteten Plot. Also bist du bereit, die Insel zu betreten und herauszufinden, wem du vertrauen kannst? Oder vielleicht… lieber niemandem?
