Rezension von JoanneThis book made me feel like the ball in a pinball machine. Just when I thought I had arrived somewhere, I was catapulted in a new direction. While this kept the story exciting, it also made it frustrating. At the beginning of the book, I found Scarlett quite exhausting, but as the story progressed, her sister eventually took over that role quite well. I am not sure if I want to continue this series but I will probably have to.

Rezension von johannaIch hatte dieses Buch irgendwie schon so lange rumliegen, dass ich mir den Klappentext vor dem Lesen nicht nochmal durchgelesen habe, und das war eine richtig gute Entscheidung, ich hatte so nämlich gar keine Ahnung, um was es genau gehen sollte, also war ich bei jeder Kleinigkeit auch am Anfang sehr überrascht, und habe so gut wie nichts komme sehen. Ich mochte Julian am Anfang irgendwie gar nicht und habe sehr gehofft, dass er nicht der eigentliche Love-Interest ist, aber irgendwie hat er dann doch mein Herz für sich gewonnen und ich mochte ihn am Ende dann doch. Insgesamt fand ich das Buch richtig gut, ich habe nämlich auch nur ein Woche oder so gebraucht, um es durchzulesen. Ich muss im Nachhinein jedoch sagen, dass es mehr wie ein Kinderbuch war (im Insgesamten, ich meine nicht die paar brutalen Szenen, Kinder beschreibt hier auch eher 10-13 Jährige) und noch die Art von Fantasy, die ich mir gewünscht hatte. Die magischen Elemente waren für mich persönlich nämlich etwas zu sehr im Hintergrund und nicht so präsent. Wenn man aber mit der Erwartung in das Buch reingeht, dass es mehr so Zirkus lalala ist, dann kann das das Rating am Ende warscheinlich sogar noch hoch pushen.
