Very creative and full of humorous sidesteps in a story that is fascinating alternative history. Often lacks a compelling logic or rather it pretends to work after a certain logic which in fact it wouldn’t because history is not a sequence of consecutive events but the story mankind invented after a bunch of unrelated or accidental events unfolded. By that theory, it is maybe more realistic than I first thought. Anyway, Binet is a good narrator, but at the end it is a history book with more names in it than my directory. Not Binets best but still a great read.
