Audiobook. Definitely better than the last book! The ending was crazy with a lot of stuff coming together and it left me a bit confused

The cold and rational writing style became more fleshed out, and I experienced it as more tonally consistent than its predecessors. However in the end, I didn't like it as much as the first two books. While I thought I would be interessed in the story of the children, I wasn't quite as hooked as by the second half of [b:Dune Messiah|53169182|Dune Messiah (Dune #2)|Frank Herbert|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1586829191l/53169182._SX50_.jpg|3634570]. Some of the decisions made by the characters where also a bit weird, and if I dare say so, felt a bit out of character. Also, I feel like important story points happened over far too quickly, compared with the lengthy conversations/descriptions surrounding them. Maybe this is because of the rational tone of the book, but I would have appreciated a different ratio between the surrounding story and the major plot points.
