Rezension von BettinaIch finde, Tayari Jones hat hervorragend gezeigt, wie das Beziehungs- und Eheleben durch viele Faktoren beeinflusst wird. Dabei spielt hier in diesem Roman auch das Thema der Herkunft eine große Rolle. Bis ich mit dem Roman warm geworden bin, hat es eine ganze Weile gebraucht. Und als ich dann endlich 'in der Geschichte war', hat sie mich im letzten Drittel wieder verloren. Leider. Da ich dann aber wissen wollte, wie die Geschichte ausgeht, wie die einzelnen kleinen und großen Konflikte gelöst werden, bin ich dran geblieben. Dennoch finde ich schade, dass mich das Buch über weite Strecken nicht wirklich packen konnte.
