I can‘t say whether I was Team Conrad/Jeremiah here without giving spoilers, I only can say that the ending of the book broke me. It wasn‘t a totally mind blowing book which I will always think about and that is the only reason I am „only“ giving it 4 stars instead of 5. It was such a heartbreaking romance and you could feel the story as if you were right in it. Although it made me very sad at the end, I will recommend it to everyone searching for a great, sweet romance which makes you feel like a part of Cousins Beach.
First book was a 2 star read, how did I end up here…. crying at the end nonetheless. Belly is still not my favorite character (probably still my least favorite) but thank god she is not near as insufferable as in the first two books, same goes for all the bratty annoying characters (Steven, Taylor). And Conrad. Oh my. I did a whole 180 on him. I went from team Conrad because I couldn’t stand both of them (belly and Conrad) and thought they both deserve each other to team Conrad because i wanted him to get his girl. His love. I fell in love with this version of Conrad Fisher. Jere on the other hand messed up a little (bit too much). Lacie?! Fuck no. Disgusting move Jere. Laurel thank god you took the right turn in the end. And Susannah. Oh Susannah. I probably cried for her the most. Her remains in their life felt so much deeper here (to me) probably because it just shows how she’s still part of their lives even after years of her death. And it hurts, sincerely, it hurts. I’m starting to cry again so imma end it here. But yeah. The trilogy is worth the read (even if it’s a little hard to get through book one).
I'm glad she picked conrod
well, i liked it
