Rezension von RaymondThis story takes place in a world which has had a nuclear war. A fascist regime finds its way to top of the English government. Ten years after this nuclear conflict, "freedom," "expression," and "beauty" have been removed from the day to day life of British citizens. A man without a name, known only as "V" is randomly taken by the government to serve as a Lab rat for scientific experimentation. No explanation of who V was, prior to his internment, is ever given. However, there is no question about who he becomes once he escapes. The story is V's attempt to capture the hearts and minds of the people and remind them how life used to be; how life can be without the constant threat of death or imprisonment. What made this graphic novel so great was it's ability to create the realization for the reader when its realized how closely today's society has come to resemble the society envisioned in this graphic novel. Read this graphic novel you'll greatly enjoy it. Such a great graphic novel. It'll make you stop and think. Are we as free today as we think we are?
