I am honestly surprised by how different the books are. Much rawer and much more brutal. The Scorch truly feels like Phase Two, another labyrinth, just without visible walls. The real threat does not come only from the external dangers, but from deliberate psychological manipulation and the other team, the girls. The betrayal of certain characters hits much harder here. The fact that all of this is done in the name of test results and justified as serving the “greater good” felt especially cruel to me. Morally, I questioned almost everything, and by the end I could barely trust anyone. The book is at times very brutal, uncomfortable, and far more psychologically demanding than I expected. P.S.: If Teresa says “W.C.K.D. is good” one more time, I might lose it. I can stand her even less here than in the movies.
I did’t understood some stuff and what exactly happened but maybe it’s because it’s written in third pov and i can’t really read in third pov. But also better then the movie and loved the relationship with brenda hate teresa tho
While this was still pretty thrilling, I'm honestly just wondering how a bunch of teenagers placed in mostly artificial life or death situations fighting for survival is gonna help the government figure out a cure for the disease like...? I NEED ANSWERS! They just won't stop torturing them with new monsters/challenges/safety being taken away almost instantly after regaining it Also I saw a comment before, talking about how often Thomas was shown falling asleep/lose consciousness and they were not kidding, it was at least 20 times throughout the book lol
Sehr toll & die plotwists?
