Rezension von AlissaJetzt habe ich das zweite Buch der Housemaid- Reihe („the Housemaid’s Secret“) ebenfalls beendet. Und obwohl sie unabhängig von einander lesbar und praktisch eigenständige Geschichten sind, hat es mir sehr gefallen mehr über weitere Charaktere zu erfahren, auch wenn ich mir noch gewünscht hätte irgendetwas über Nina zu erfahren (da sie im ersten Buch so eine spannende Protagonistin war). Insgesamt hat mir auch das zweite Buch wirklich gut gefallen, obwohl ich den Plot-Twist dieses Mal, schon vorausgeahnt habe. Da z.B. in beiden Büchern der Wendepunkt fast genau in der Mitte kam,… Auch der Schreibstil der Autorin ist wirklich toll und es war auch wieder easy auf englisch zu lesen!

Rezension von TanithEs war das erste Buch von Frieda McFadden das ich gelesen habe und ich muss sagen, es hat nicht enttäuscht. Mehrere Plot Twists die ich nicht habe kommen sehen und ging sehr einfach „runter“. Habe allerdings nicht gecheckt, dass ich „The Housemaid“ vllt hätte zuerst lesen sollen 😅

Rezension von Wow, okay. Ich habe dieses Buch wirklich in ähnlich kurzer Zeit wie das erste beendet und zwar mit offenem Mund. Die Plottwists habe ich hier noch weniger kommen sehen, was das Ganze fast noch spannender und nervenaufreibender. Es hätte sich vielleicht noch in Details etwas mehr unterscheiden können vom ersten Teil, da sie relativ ähnliche Prämissen hatten, der Grundgedanke ist aber immer noch aus meiner Sicht spannend und erschütternd.
