i didn‘t vibe with this last instalment of the grishaverse at all :/ i feel so sorry because i really really wanted to like rule of wolves but for me personally it was so dull and hard to connect with the story and everything. i simply didn‘t care.

This book was everything! I was a little disappointed in King of Scars, it felt just like a book needed to get Rule of Wolves started. But that‘s okay if this is what we got from it!! I never believed I could have loved Zoya so much, I did. love Nikolai from second one in Siege and Storm, so him just being his perfect self just made me so happy. I did bawl like crazy in the middle, I was definitely not ready for that kind of heartbreak. But Nina deserved to have the Happy End she was denied in Crooked Kingdom, she deserves every good thing in the world. I think (as far as I know so please, if it’s wrong correct me) that Hanne‘s preferring to be a Man was very well written and described, Bardugo just keeps giving us amazing characters! Also I lived for the few Ketterdam chapters, I hope in the next Dregs book there will be even more Zoya/Nikolai/Kaz/Jesper moments

Please tell me there's another book coming in the future? Because this ending... it's a perfect teaser for more adventures in the Grishaverse universe. This book continues the story of Nikolai, Zoya and Darkling in Ravka and Nina in Fjerda. Once again, they fight wars, magic and political intrigue. But this time it's not just about fighting enemies, but also about power, responsibility and personal sacrifice. The character of Darkling is especially remarkable. For a long time he was seen as a ‘bad guy’. But here he is shown to be driven by power and loneliness. Alexander is not a simple villain, but a man who sacrifices everything to create a better world for his people - even if his methods are destructive. He is a fascinating character who cannot simply be categorised as good or evil. Also, the development of the relationship between Nikolai and Zoya is one of the emotional highlights of the book. The two characters, who were introduced as strong and independent personalities in the previous books, undergo a significant transformation in this book in terms of their feelings for each other and their future together. The scene with Zoya's secret garden made me cry. The way Nina's story ends is different from what you would expect from a classic happy ending. Her story doesn't end with a simple healing or romantic closure, but with a strong, self-determined decision that affects Grisha's future. Despite everything, I believe she has found peace. Even if it is bitter sweet. The finale of Rule of Wolves is a hard goodbye - not just to the characters, but to an entire world that has been burned deep into the heart. The Grishaverse, with its rich magic, complex political structures and unforgettable characters, is more than just a series of books - it's a home. Above all, this series got me reading again in 2022 and will forever be something very special in my life. 5/5 ⭐
