20.10.25 I’m sorry, but I’m watching the series right now and I’m wondering if I was just blind or incompetent when I read the book. Or is it actually possible for a series to be that much better than the book. I’m bawling my eyes out over here.
started off strong with potential. but then really quickly i got kind of bored (felt too superficial and there is no real plot) and couldn't really connect with the story and the characters (very unfortunate). in a way i could see why people love this book so much. but when i tried to take a closer look at it, it ran like water through my hands, impossible to catch. the writing style though was really special, simple and real yet somehow incredibly beautiful and delicate. there were definitely some passages that stood out to me.
