Rezension von Melanie M.Der Anfang von dem Buch hat mir sehr gefallen. Ich mochte es, dass beide Protagonisten krasse Soldaten waren und ungefähr gleichwertig durchgeknallt sind. Leider hat meine Begeisterung zum Ende abgenommen. Dabei stört mich nicht unbedingt das Ende selbst, sondern wie die Liebesgeschichte zwischen Bones und Bunny sich entwickelt hat. Ich habe es ihnen einfach nicht abgekauft. Es war allerdings auch meine erste Bully Romance und vielleicht ist das auch einfach nicht mein Ding.
Rezension von SamiI absolutely devoured the beginning of Leave Me Behind. The concept was so good and it had me completely hooked at first. But somewhere along the way the story just… stopped making sense to me? Things started feeling messy and frustrating instead of intense. And the ending?? Why did basically everyone have to die 😭 It felt unnecessarily brutal for no reason other than shock value. This book genuinely had the potential to be amazing, which honestly makes it even more disappointing. I also really didn’t love the direction with her ex, it just didn’t make much sense to me and was more annoying than anything else. It kind of took away from what originally made the story so gripping for me. Overall: loved the idea, loved the start, emotionally side-eyed the second half.
