Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez really said “fake dating trope” and then casually unpacked childhood trauma, abandonment issues, and the fear of being loved right. Justin = walking green flag, emotionally available king, borderline unrealistic but we move. Emma = made me want to hug her and shake her at the same time. Girl, PLEASE stop self-sabotaging. The chemistry? Top tier. The banter? Sharp. The emotional damage? Unexpected but delivered with precision. Would’ve been a 5⭐️ if Emma didn’t stress me out for 60% of the book… but also that’s the plot so fine. Soft, healing, slightly chaotic romance that starts as a “just for fun” summer fling and quietly turns into something deeper—about choosing love even when it terrifies you, and staying when every instinct tells you to
Rezension von Alissa„Just for the summer“ ist ein einfach zu lesendes Rom-Com Buch (auch auf englisch, einfache Sprache)! Der Aspekt, dass es auch um psychische Gesundheit ging, war nochmal etwas anderes als man normalerweise in solchen Büchern findet, aber alles in allem kann man es für zwischendurch super lesen. Mein Lieblingscharakter war tatsächlich Maddy, weil sie so eine besondere und einfach humorvolle Art hat. Insgesamt: 3/5⭐️
Rezension von VanuschkaInsgesamt eine schöne Sommer-Romance mit viel Gefühl und einer süßen Dynamik zwischen Emma und Justin. ☀️💕 Justin mochte ich total, aber Emma war mir teilweise echt etwas nervig, weshalb mich die Geschichte nicht durchgehend abholen konnte. Trotzdem hat das Buch schöne emotionale Momente und lässt sich gut lesen. 3,5 Sterne ⭐️
