Eine Fantasy-Welt zu entwickeln, die einerseits an Hongkong in den 80ern erinnert, aber gleichzeitig ein Magiesystem aufweist, das man fast mit bewusstseinserweiternden Drogen vergleichen kann, das ist hammer-stark! Familie steht hier ganz vorne! Auf der Insel Kekon kämpfen Clans um die Vorherrschaft und nutzen dabei den Rohstoff Jade, der Ihnen gewisse Fähigkeiten verleiht. Band 1 der Green Bone Saga folgt einem Clan und dessen Mitgliedern und das ist unheimlich packend und toll geschrieben. Ein wahnsinnig guter Auftakt für die Trilogie!
Rezension von CelliSuper cooles Magiesystem. Epische Kämpfe. Sehr viel Politik. habs geliebt. Die verschiedenen Perspektiven haben es unterhaltsam gemacht. Man braucht ein bisschen um alles zu verstehen. Die Mitte war tragisch und das Ende krass.
Rezension von Lele Ahhh einfach ein mega spannender Fantasy Roman!!! Mir haben vor allem das Magiesystem um die Jade Steine, die Handlung und die Charaktere gefallen. Es war von Anfang an spannend, so dass ich dranbleiben musste. Gegen Ende des Buches haben die Charaktere auch noch einmal mehr Tiefe bekommen, weshalb ich sehr gespannt bin wie es in "Jade War" weitergeht. Ein sehr spannendes Buch über Clan Intrigen, Familienzusammenhalt und die richtigen Beziehungen! 4,5/5 ⭐️
Rezension von Lena4.5 rounded up Hat mein Bedürfnis nach Mafia/Familien Business Sci-Fi/Fantasy Geschichten gestillt Richtig gut gelungener Start der Reihe, mit gutem Worldbuilding und interessanten Charakteren Trotzdem ein Buch das sich seine Zeit nimmt, mit eventuellen Durchhängern, aber mir hats sehr gefallen
Rezension von LucyThe Godfather meets John Wick – but in a magical world. The story follows the Kaul family, who are in a bitter power struggle for control of jade. This magical substance grants its users extraordinary powers and is therefore extremely valuable. However, getting into the story wasn’t easy for me. The magic system and the many names and terms were a bit difficult to understand at first. It took a while before I could fully immerse myself in the world, but from the middle of the book onward, the story really pulled me in! The book is full of violent conflicts, loyalty, and betrayal within the family – brutal and intense. A fascinating mix of crime, action, and fantasy with Asian-inspired traditions, customs, and social structures. 4/5 ⭐
