3.5⭐️ Notes: - it’s in so many points so different from the movie which also makes it a lot better and more logical - Tris and Four both have serious communication issues and it’s getting on my nerves - Tris goes on my nerves sometimes but then i remember that she’s only 16 so it’s fine - it’s nice that you really get better introduced to all factions in this book - and it’s actually an interesting take on grief and trauma Quotes: “People, I have discovered, are layers and layers of secrets. You believe you know them, that you understand them, but their motives are always hidden from you, buried in their own hearts. You will never know them, but sometimes you decide to trust them.” “We both have war inside us. Sometimes it keeps us alive. Sometimes it threatens to destroy us.” “Like a wild animal, the truth is too powerful to remain caged.” “Grief is not as heavy as guilt, but it takes more away from you.”
War is raging between the factions. In her new home, Triss is anything but safe, and so she flees and fights, even against those she loves. It took me a very long time to finish reading this book. I found the first half a bit slow and almost boring. I also noticed the incredibly cringeworthy statements, especially from Tris wth.
This ending... so intense... wow.
It was heartbreaking... i was expecting more... i wanted more! But without spoilers i only can say that its a good book, it has a lot of drama and action, much is revealed, there is WOW moments and very sad ones... i enjoyed it, but i really thought that it could be bigger!
there were some parts that felt too long and I somehow don't feel the connection between Tris and Four anymore. Hopefully that will change in the 3rd one again. Sone parts really surprised me however the twist at the end.. kind of wasn't a twist. The dangerous information was kind of obvious to me and I was just waiting for them to start questioning their lives and their little world. Anyways I'm curious to see how the story will proceed. Good thing book 3 is already waiting for me :-)
