In Your Dreams by Sarah Adams was a cozy, easy read — the kind you pick up expecting comfort and warmth. While it had a few enjoyable moments and a light, pleasant vibe throughout, it surprisingly didn’t warm my heart the way I hoped it would. The biggest letdown for me was the ending — it felt really abrupt, almost like everything wrapped up too quickly without the emotional payoff I was waiting for. After spending so much time building up the story, I expected something more satisfying and complete. Honestly… I was kinda disappointed. Maybe I just wasn’t in the right mood for this kind of book, but overall it felt a bit bland. There were definitely some parts I enjoyed, but most of it was just okay — nothing that really stayed with me or made me feel deeply invested. A soft, cozy read… but not a memorable one for me.
My least favorite in the series. I liked the characters but i didn't love how they interacted with each other, it felt a bit unnatural sometimes. Nonetheless, I loved being back in Rome, but I would've loved to see even more of the other characters.
<<< MEN WRITTEN BY SARAH ADAMS Dare I say: Go get yourself a man who opens up a restaurant (+ renovates you a cottage to go with it) to give you a valid reason to come back home? On top of that, I couldn't help but swoon over James Huxley’s attentiveness: the way he picked up on the smallest of Madison's cues in order to give her safe space and revive her culinary passion. What can I say other than that I absolutely devoured this book as well. The warm summer vibes, early mornings on the farm, fresh produce paired with the restaurant plot line... simply amazing. As if that weren't enough already to create a story you have to fall in love with, the presence of the characters from the previous books (I think I've fallen in love with Will now?), paired with the relatable struggles of fixing relationships with your family, valuating your work-life balance and health properly, or picking yourself back up after a serious meltdown. Last but not least, a super-duper exclusive Eva bonus tip: Read this book when the summer vibes are going to hit even harder with a real-life, seasonal backdrop.
