Ein sehr schönes Buch über Schwesternschaft und Familienbeziehungen
Unglaublich rührende Geschichte. Es fühlte sich an wie eine Hommage an "Little Women". Und mit jeder weiteren Seite, die ich gelesen hab, hab ich mehr und mehr an den Figuren und ihren Schicksalen gehangen. Große Empfehlung!
Vielleicht hatte ich zu hohe Erwartungen aber ich bin nicht warm geworden mit dem Buch. Die Geschichte ist an sich schön aber sehr langatmig erzählt. Es fehlt mir persönlich komplett an Spannungsbögen. Vor allem durch die Perspektivenwechsel in denen zentrale Punkte wiederholt werden. Julia war mir nach einer Weile so unsympathisch, dass es mir vor jedem Kapitel mit ihr grauste. Die Perspektive von Alice als Kind fand ich dann völlig realitätsfern, denn hier hört man ganz klar die erwachsene Autorin schreiben und nicht eine 5 oder 11jähriges Mädchen.
So eine zärtliche Familiengeschichte, beinahe ein wenig märchenhaft, aber jenseits von Kitsch. Über dieses seltsam feste Band, das Familien zusammenhält.
