Rezension von Sofia - The writing style at the beginning is a bit hard to read, but you get used to it. - Very long chapters. - It made me think a lot about how one can live life. Sometimes you reach a point where you simply want a simple and quiet life, without overthinking too much. -I didn’t fully understand the ending. - It took me quite a long time to finish reading it. - Even though it’s a book and there is some drama and exaggeration (which is normal), it felt very real.
Rezension von VickypediaIch habe zu dem Buch ursprünglich gegriffen, da es viel mit normal people von Sally Rooney verglichen wurde✨ (mein all time favorite) Und als ich es angefangen habe, war ich über diesen Vergleich ziemlich schockiert, weil ich es einfach null in dem Buch gesehen habe. Mittlerweile kann ich den Vergleich jedoch etwas verstehen, ABER es ist kein literarisches Meisterwerk. Ich glaube wenn ich es am besten beschreiben müsste, dann ist es die young adult Variante von normal people haha. Es ist viel ausführlicher und poetischer beschrieben und erinnert an klassische erste Romance Bücher, die man so mit 14 gelesen hat und zusätzlich gibt es eben diese miscommunication und Right Person wrong time feeling. Es war sehr catchy aber hat leider einfach meine (wirklich zu hohen) Erwartungen nicht ganz erreicht. Für alle, die mit Sally rooneys schreibstil nicht zurecht kamen, könnte dies jedoch echt ein hidden gem sein ✨

Rezension von Kathleen ✨This book was so beautiful. Cruelly beautiful. It wasn't really a new or innovative plot and kind of predictable but beautifully written. I really felt for the protagonists. Best book of the year so far.
