Loved the dad, just knew I would love the son 🫶🏻🤭
First of all: don’t come for me, but I really really REALLY did not like this book. It was a struggle. I was this close to DNF’ing multiple times, but unfortunately I’d actually like to get to book five and also my dumb ass bought the entire series before reading a single one. Lesson learned. Never again. Because so far? I haven’t liked a single book in this series💀 There’s also this very specific trope that I absolutely hate: the girl tries to make her man jealous, goes out partying, gets hit on by random guys, and then has to be “rescued” by the love interest. And what can I say, it shows up in some form in every single book. I’m tired. I’m exhausted. Free me. On top of that, the dynamics and characters all feel pretty much the same, so everything ends up being super predictable and very stereotypical. I mean, the series is super hyped, so clearly it works for a lot of people, so no shame at all if you love it. For me though? It’s been a complete miss so far, and I genuinely don’t know if I should keep suffering through it or just call it quits. I do really want to read God of Fury though, so maybe I’ll just skip the next book and pretend that’s a valid life choice. At least I liked Ilya though. Every time his name came up I was like… Rozanov?! Oh wait, wrong book. My man is haunting me at this point. All in all: not for me and honestly, I’m just glad it’s over.
4.5⭐️ I knew I would like Jeremy. I must say Ava pissed me off like no one else. I really hope I won’t keep disliking her but it’s not looking good for her icl. Landon as well. Doing too much to be the villain fr. I generally liked their relationship especially their fights I must say they were all valid. Miscommunication was, thank god, not really a thing or at least not as big of a deal as it could’ve been. Love ilya and I’m really excited to get to Nikolais book. Very interested in who tf the white mask is (i will not accept it to be something underwhelming istg). To be completely honest I don’t really care about Landons (God of Ruin) or Elis (God of war). I do want to see more of Mia and Maya tho so I will be reading the next book but honestly, if I don’t see Avas character development sooner rather than later I don’t know if I can do the last one in the series😭 Anyway back to this one. Love Cecily and Jeremy. Both had their issues but I like that you could tell they were actually trying to work on it all even tho it took them a second. Really liked them and their dialogue was also very entertaining. Not as much as in god of malice but I just love how it’s genuinely not repetitive. Only now realizing how much of that I was actually exposed to in the past.
Super Buch echt fantastisch wurde nie langweilig
