Rezension von lenaI just finished the last Elsie Silver book. Now I’ve read everything she’s ever written and I’m absolutely in love with every word in every fucking book. Please, write more. I need more. I can’t breath without her books. Can we please talk about how everything is connected? The scenes with characters from the other books? FUCKING GENIUS I am so in love with every character and every place. I’m dreaming about living with a hot man who’s training horses and who has a child, thanks to Elsie Silver But it’s alright, maybe I will find my Cade Eaton, Beau Eaton or West Belmont ❤️🩹

Sons Ex girlfriend war der Trope der mich einfach umgehauen hat ❤️🔥 Bash ist der Vater von Gwen’s (Ex)freund, doch als sie sich kennenlernen wissen sie es nicht. In einer unverhofften Nacht am Flughafen treffen die beiden aufeinander und Gwen lockt Bash mit ihrer frischen Art aus der Reserve. Es scheint zu knistern, doch nach dem Aufeinandertreffen hören sie monatelang nichts voneinander und das obwohl Gwen Bash ihre Nummer gegeben hat. Viel zu oft hat sie an ihn gedacht und doch kam nie eine Nachricht von ihm. Doch dann trifft sie ihn dort wieder, wo sie ihn am aller wenigsten erwartet: auf dem Geburtstag ihres Freundes - seines Sohnes. Als Gwen dann plötzlich aufgrund eines Jobangebotes in Bash’s Heimatort Rose Hill auftaucht können sie sich nicht länger aus dem Weg gehen… Dieses Buch war mal wieder gefüllt mit Kichern, lautem Lachen, Trauer, Mitgefühl, Wut und Freude. Elsie weiß einfach wie sie es machen muss. Auch die Nebencharaktere waren wieder on Point! Clyde lernen wir bereits in den anderen Teilen der Rose Hill Reihe kennen, aber in diesem Buch bekommt er eine ganz besondere Rolle - and he doesn’t deserve less!! Unsere Protagonisten sind der Inbegriff von Tension! Gwen ist so tough, weiß genau was sie will und hat schnell alle in Rose Hill um ihren Finger gewickelt. Auch Bash, doch der versucht alles um dem zu entgehen. Und Bash? OMG he‘s hot!! Ein Mann der nicht perfekt ist und der durch sein Leben geprägt worden ist, aber der für seine Liebsten ALLES gibt! Ein Herz aus Gold. Wer dieses Buch nicht liest, verpasst was!! Spielt ganz oben mit bei meinen Lieblingsbüchern von Elsie!
Rezension von AlexanderThe fourth of the row, and just as tactfully spun as the ones before. Silver creates unique characters, and manages to keep their relationships, connections and memories intelinked in a continuous storyline. Bash as the grumpy doo-good fire pilot, and Gwen as the loving kindhearted yoga teacher, we see a story unfold through major difficulties. I especially enjoyed the seriousness with which Silver treats growth and moving on from old wounds. She prioritises accountability, not only in romance, but father-child relationships. The age gap had me a little weirded out at the start, but it wasn't turned into a major theme. Only some aspects of the writing and flow here put me off, that's personal preference and perhaps an overly collating part of me. Overall, a great reading flow, the excitement of seeing two people overcome their fears, and revisiting known characters.
