I remember darkly that I watched the anime as a child, yet I never knew it was a book.
This was truly a magical read. I did not expect to enjoy it as much, since I don't usually like children's stories, however Sara made it really easy. She was so unlike a child, so grown up and I appreciated that because I can relate.
I loved how she wanted to make things better for the poor, even when she was starving herself. What an amiable girl!
The story shows that magical things, can indeed happen, if people are good enough to perform them.
