Zeruya Shalev

Zeruya Shalev, born in 1959 in a kibbutz near the Sea of Galilee, studied biblical studies and became known as a writer. Her award-winning trilogy about modern love—Love Life, Man and Woman, and Late Family—was translated into more than twenty languages. Her other novels include Pain and Destiny.
