Zdenek Miler

Zdeněk Miler (1921–2011) was a Czech screenwriter and director. He became internationally known for his stories and films about the Little Mole, which achieved worldwide success from the mid-1950s onward. Miler was born in Kladno, in what was then Czechoslovakia. In 2006, he was honored by the Czech president for his life’s work. In 2010, he received the Ehrenschlingel award at the International Film Festival for Children and Young People in Chemnitz.
