Yves Bonnefoy

Yves Bonnefoy (1923–2016) was a European poet and essayist. He was born in Tours and died in Paris. Poetry stood at the center of his literary and intellectual work; he also wrote extensively on poetry and painting. His work was translated into numerous languages.
