Yuri Slezkine

Yuri Slezkine (born 1956) completed his studies at the Philological Faculty of Moscow University. In 1982 he emigrated from the USSR to Portugal and, in 1983, to the United States, where he earned a Ph.D. from the University of Texas. He served as a professor of history at the University of California, Berkeley. His best-known works include *The House of Government: A Saga of the Russian Revolution* (2018).
