Ylva Karlsson

Ylva Karlsson was born near Stockholm in 1978 and is a Swedish author of children’s and young adult literature. She wrote her first book as a school assignment while in secondary school; it was published soon afterward and received an award for best debut of the year. She has written around a dozen books, including picture books and young adult novels. Her distinctions include the August Prize and the Heffaklumpen. Her works published in German include “Sei kein Frosch, Malin!”, “Die Reise zum Kaiser,” and “Zauberhafte Dorabella – Samsons 13. Kindermädchen.”
