Wolfgang Straub

Wolfgang Straub, born in 1968, studied German literature in Salzburg and Vienna, as well as theater studies and journalism. He has worked as a freelance publishing editor, author, literary critic, and literary scholar, and served as a lecturer at the Department of German Studies at the University of Vienna. He also worked as a project leader at the Robert Musil Institute for Literary Research in Klagenfurt and headed the Manuscripts, Music Collections, and Estates department of the Vienna City Library. His research focuses include literature and tourism as well as contemporary Austrian literature. His publications include “Willkommen. Literatur und Fremdenverkehr in Österreich”; he has also edited works by Werner Kofler and Hans Flesch-Brunningen.
