Wolfgang Schwerdt

Wolfgang Schwerdt, born in Berlin in 1951, studied technical chemistry and business administration and worked as a freelance journalist for radio, print and online media from the early 1980s onward. He published articles and nonfiction on archaeology, cultural and maritime history, human-animal studies, and human-caused species extinction. He also wrote fiction about seafaring and ship cats, including the “Rotbartsaga” series, begun in 2014. Cats and seafaring were among his particular interests.
