William Grill

William Grill, born in 1990 in southern England, studied illustration at Falmouth University in Cornwall. As an illustrator, he has contributed work to various newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times. His debut, “Shackleton’s Journey,” received the Kate Greenaway Medal in 2015 and was nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize in the nonfiction category in 2016. Grill works primarily in colored pencils and draws inspiration from nature.
