Willi Resetarits

Willi Resetarits (1948–2022) was an Austrian musician, singer and human rights activist. He was born in Stinatz, Burgenland. From 1969 to 1989, he was a member of the band Schmetterlinge; from 1985, he performed as Ostbahn Kurti with Die Chefpartie, and from 1995 to 2003 with Kurt Ostbahn und die Kombo. He also worked closely with Ernst Molden, including on the album “ohne di.” Resetarits was honorary president of the Vienna Integration House and received numerous awards, including the Bruno Kreisky Prize for Human Rights and the Josef Felder Prize for Community Service and Civic Courage.
