Wilfred Thesiger

Wilfred Thesiger (1910–2003) was a British traveler and author. He was born on 3 June 1910 in Addis Ababa, the son of an English diplomat, and spent his childhood in Africa. After attending Eton and studying at Oxford, he worked in the British colonial administration in Sudan during the 1930s and 1940s. He later undertook extensive travels through various parts of the world.
