Wigald Boning

Born in 1967 in Wildeshausen near Oldenburg, Wigald Boning is a German comedian, television presenter, musician, composer, and author. He became widely known through the comedy show “RTL Samstag Nacht,” whose ensemble he joined from 1993 to 1998. Together with Olli Dittrich, he formed the duo Die Doofen; their single “Mief” and album “Lieder, die die Welt nicht braucht” topped the German charts in 1995. Boning presented programs including “WIB-Schaukel” and “Clever! – Die Show, die Wissen schafft,” and appeared as a panelist on “Genial daneben.” His awards include the Adolf Grimme Award and, in 2005, the German Television Award.
