Wibke Bruhns

Wibke Bruhns (1938–2019) was a German journalist and author. She was born in Halberstadt and died in Hamburg. In 1971, she became the first woman to present the “heute” news. She later worked as a Stern correspondent in Israel and the United States and served as head of culture at ORB. Her autobiographical book “Meines Vaters Land” became a bestseller.
