Werner Fuld

Werner Fuld, born in Heidelberg in 1947, studied literature and art history. He worked for many years as a literary critic, including for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. He is known for biographies of Walter Benjamin, Wilhelm Raabe and Niccolò Paganini, as well as for books on cultural history. His other publications include “Lexikon der letzten Worte” (“The Dictionary of Last Words”), “Das Buch der verbotenen Bücher” (“The Book of Forbidden Books”), “Eine Geschichte des sinnlichen Schreibens” (“A History of Sensuous Writing”) and “Die Bildungslüge” (“The Education Lie”). His books have been translated into numerous languages.
