Walter Widmer

Walter Widmer (*1947) worked in various fields of tourism marketing and travelled to numerous countries for both professional and private reasons. After retiring, he walked the Camino de Santiago with his wife from Lucerne to Santiago de Compostela. The experience inspired him to spend ten years helping to run a pilgrim hostel in Spain for several weeks at a time. He also walked the Via Francigena from Lucerne to Rome and the Jerusalem Way from Lucerne to Vienna. Other sources describe him as an architect, musician and shiatsu practitioner.
