Walter Mosley is an American author best known for his crime novels featuring private detective Easy Rawlins, including Devil in a Blue Dress, which was adapted into a film starring Denzel Washington. He has published more than 60 books, translated into 25 languages. His honors include the National Book Foundation’s Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters and the title of Grand Master of the Mystery Writers of America.
