Walter Chandoha

Walter Chandoha (1920–2019) was an American photographer who initially worked as a war photographer during the Second World War. A chance encounter with a cat led him to specialize in cat photography. His images appeared on more than 300 magazine covers, as well as in numerous advertisements, on posters, and on T-shirts. One of his photographs was also displayed as a large Kodak Colorama in New York’s Grand Central Terminal.
