W. Thomas Boyce is professor emeritus of pediatrics and behavioral psychology at the University of California. He conducted research at the Berkeley School of Public Health for more than 20 years. His work focused on the interaction of neurobiological and psychosocial processes in children. Among other topics, he studied how psychological stress affects children’s physical health.
