Volker Mehnert

Volker Mehnert was a freelance journalist, travel writer, and author. He lived and worked for many years in Latin America, Eastern Europe, and the United States. His books addressed travel, cultural, and historical subjects. He also published numerous articles, including in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Die Welt am Sonntag. A biography of Alexander von Humboldt marked the beginning of a series of children’s and young adult books published by Gerstenberg.
