Viv Albertine is an English musician, guitarist and filmmaker. As the guitarist of the punk band The Slits, she was a prominent figure in the early English punk scene. Before that, she played with Sid Vicious and Keith Levene in the early punk band The Flowers of Romance. During the 1980s and 1990s, Albertine worked as a director and producer in film and television. In 2012, she released her first solo album, The Vermillion Border.
