Virginia Tangvald

Virginia Tangvald was born in 1986 aboard a sailing ship in the Caribbean Sea near Puerto Rico and grew up in Canada. Her debut novel, “Wir Kinder der offenen See,” received the Prix Révélation d’automne and was also nominated for the Grand Prix des Lectrices de Elle and the Prix du Roman Version Femina. Tangvald adapted the novel into a documentary film, which received the TV5 audience award for best French-language film.
